Local families gathered in Oklahoma City on Thursday for the state's first annual "Day at the Capitol" event.
Parents heard from NCPSO President Briana LeClaire and member Jennifer Roy on the importance of school choice, in addition to taking part in a "How to Talk with your Legislator" workshop. Families were also treated to lunch and remarks by Senator John Ford, and Representatives Jason Nelson and Ann Coody.
Families ended their trip to the Capitol with visits to their members' offices, delivering them hand-written letters, advocating for their support for education options, like full-time online public schools, in Oklahoma!
