Coming on the heels of a House Education Committee meeting today on S.B. 619, the Michigan Chapter of the National Coalition for Public School Options has released a video showcasing the reasons why parents choose virtual schools for their children.

From food allergies and learning disabilities to those students looking for a greater challenge in the classroom, families' voices can be heard - and seen - through the video montage of pictures and spoken testimony.

Over 10,000 Michigan students are currently waiting for their shot at an education that works for their needs.  If passed, S.B. 619 would lift the caps on charter schools, giving these students the opportunity for a better education.

Hopefully this video allows lawmakers to put a face to virtual learning, and the endless possibilities that derive from the expansion of school choice.
