Students in the Keystone State may soon have more options when it comes to choosing the educational system that best fits their needs!  The Pennsylvania State Senate passed Senate Bill 1 this week by a vote of 15-11, drastically expanding vouchers in the state, without increasing educational spending.  If the legislation becomes law, students will have an opportune chance to attend the public school of their choice, despite location.

In addition to increasing public school options for a larger population of students, the legislation would also add $25 million to a scholarship fund for underprivileged students interested in attending private schools.
