The Foundation for Excellence in Education offers a great tool for state leaders, in issuing "report cards" for each state and their degree of acceptance of and/or support for digital learning and school choice.

These assessments were performed using 72 different metrics, all of which align with 10 major elements of high quality digital learning and are suggested for implementation through state policy. These include student access, barriers to access, personalized learning, advancement, quality content, quality instruction, quality choices, assessment and accountability, funding, and infrastructure.

The Foundation also provides a great tool for policy makers in helping to advance greater school choice and student options:  "To assist states move toward the ultimate goal, the Foundation has created "policy combo-packs" that mix and match complementary policies that will accelerate the transition to a high-performing, high-achieving, world-class education."

Through school choice advocates like the Foundation for Excellence in Education, and their useful tools like the state specific-report cards, greater attention and accountability is being drawn to options like digital learning, which helps exponentially in achieving a better education for our students and America's future.
