Arlington, VA (February 24, 2022) – The National Coalition for Public School Options (PSO), a national parent advocacy organization focused on ensuring every child has access to the best quality education, praised a decision by the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals today to suspend a temporary injunction against the establishment of charter schools in the state. This decision allows families to begin enrolling in the charter school of their choice as the court continues to hear arguments around the state’s new charter school law.

“While the fight isn’t over, today’s decision is an important step in opening the state up to innovation and educational growth,” said PSO Board President Letrisha Weber. “We applaud the West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey for not giving up on West Virginia students, and we look forward to fighting alongside him to ensure all West Virginia students are given equal access to a better education and a brighter future.”
